  THE WORST COMPANY ALL OVER THE COAST!! If you want to rent a car and feel safe definitely avoid Scandinavian Tourist Center in Saranda (near the port). This summer we rented a Mercedes, from the beginning there was something wrong with the car but the guy from the company was trying to convince us that we shouldn't be worry about the brake system alert signalling a low brake fluid level. After one hour of drive when we were going down the mountain the car completely died. The engine died, electric power steering died, the brakes died...we barely managed to slow down and pull the car over to the side of the road. We called the company, which promised that will come and give us another car. However, they sent police officers who took us to the nearest town and told us that we will be given another car in two hours. After at least four (not two) hours, came the guy from the company, who by the way was very nice the day before when he was trying to sell the offer, and was extremely rude and surly. He didn't have another car for us, he didn't apologize, he yelled at us that he came to take us back to Saranda in his free time, that the broken car is our fault because we don't know how to drive and threatened to leave us there. The entire way back to Saranada he was driving like mad and treated us with no respect. We didn't get our money back, we didn't get another car, we didn't receive any compensation, not even an apology. If not for our friend who was a driver that day and knew how to behave in case of emergency, we could have died on that slope and the company couldn't have cared less.
