I was very involved in observing the care received by a friend that I took to this hospital. The actual care received was good and I have few complaints. However, after my friend was fairly healthy and needed no further hospital care (all she was doing was taking a couple pills each day for the infection) they continued to insist that she stay in the hospital and continued to order new (or, in some cases, repeat) tests. I strongly recommended to my friend that she strongly tell the doctors that she was going to leave unless they had a compelling reason to stay. I would have left (AMA=against medical advice) but my friend was not as assertive and is now in her 5th day of needing no medical intervention other than pills that she could easily take at home and yet they are keeping her in the hospital and charging her around 500 euros per day. If you are going to go to this hospital you have to be prepared that it is a for-profit hospital and the way they make money is by keeping paying patients in the hospital and continually ordering additional tests. If you have a friend who is medical and you are willing to be assertive you can get good care here; but if you just let them make your medical decisions for you then you had better have REALLY good insurance!

Terrible place...Look elsewhere for your medical needs. Liers..thieves...lazy and self entitled. Over charged on a simple blood test by 400%. "Doctor" never got out of her chair...I threw $400 u.s. dollars in the toilet by visiting this snake pit after being kept waiting for over an hour in a dirty crowded hall way. Visted world class hospitals on four continents. This place is a miserable fraud....

I went to see Cardiologist, Plastic surgeon, Orthopaedic surgeon, Dermatologist. The plastic surgeon was the worst, they just take your money for an operation and then they dont want to see you again, no aftercare at all, they just keep screwing you around in changing appointments 2hrs before your appointment time, so you wont come again. They also have an extremely low level of medical knowledge. A nurse in Australia knows 10 times what a doctor here knows. A doctorate here is the equivalent of 1-2 year Medical degree in Australia of an 8 year doctorate. Its also not cheap, only half the price of Australian medical care. The Cardiologist i just got a print off from, the Orthopaedic surgeon couldnt explain anything and didnt know about growing cartilage in a dish and re-injecting it which is common for sports people, he had no idea about stem cells and gave no referral for anyone or anything, he really didnt know what he was doing as I've seem orthopedic surgeons in Australia and the USA. Dermatologist, saw her for a short time, couldn't make a good assessment compared to Dermatologists in Australia. Had to get all my pathology tests sent to Italy through another hospital because the female plastic surgeon didnt cut the mole out properly and then pathologist didnt know what they were doing, then they couldnt even give a proper diagnosis sheet. So i have to do everything again back in Australia. You will get alot higher standard of medical care in Thailand or the Phillipines and it will cost less. I have to get everything re-done in Italy and europe now, as they really don't have any medical knowledge here or treat you after. Really really bad experience!!!
